Maia Campbell Star of In The House|Crack Video

Is she or ain't she? In The House star Maia Campbell, daughter of author Bebe Moore Campbell and former student at Spelman College, has apparently hit rock bottem. If you ever wondered what ever happened to the star of the 90's sitcom, here you have it.

It is obvious in the video that Maia while surrounded by unsavory acquaintences, is the victim of abuse, has had a child and is looking for her in the "hood" and has a serious drug problem which stems from her deep rooted pain in the loss of her beloved mother Bebe Moore.

I personally met Maia Campbell while working at Spelman where she was a student around 1997-1998. While it saddens me to see her in this light, I must admit I was not surprised when this video popped up because she was known on campus as the "party girl."

Things apparently spiraled out of control for Ms. Campbell when her mother, Bebe Moore Campbell, a renowned best selling author and Spelman alumna died in 2006 from complications of brain cancer at the age of 56.

I can't do anything but pray that she gets the help she needs and that she will be surrounded by real friends who want to help, not exploit her.

Please be aware that the video contains strong language.

Man Slaps Baby At Walmart

Police were summond to a Walmart store in Stone Mountain, Georgia August 31, after a white man reportedly walked up to a young woman and her child and slapped the 2 year old because she would not stop crying.

Acccording to Roger Stephens of Stone Mountain, GA, the child was just crying and screaming and would not shut up. He told the mother of the child, "You better shut that baby up before I shut her up for you."

Apparently the mother did not take heed to Stephen's threats as she continued to walk the aisles of Walmart with her screaming child in tow. Roger met her on another aisle, walked over to the screaming baby and proceeded to slap her several times across her face. Then he looked at the mother and said, "See, I told you I'd shut her up."

The commotion was heard by several Walmart shoppers and police were called. Roger was arrested and charged with cruelty to children in the first degree.

Wow...I just don't know what to think about that! Out of context, I actually did chuckle when I visualized what had actually transpired. Think about it, how many of us have actually thought what that man did? Although, we would never act on it, we have heard and witnessed bratty children acting out in public and thought to ourselves, she/he needs to smack that child and shut them up.

I for one, cannot stand to hear or see people's children acting bratty while in public. I feel that if you are going to bring your children out, make sure they know how to act. Make sure you have the authoritative control over your kids. I do not, however agree with nor condone what this man did.

Had it been my child he put his hands on, they would have been arresting him at the hospital after I got through whipping his butt.

The moral of this story...you can think, but just don't touch.

Since the death of Michael Jackson, June 25, 2009, the King of Pop was finally laid to rest yesterday, with only a select group of family and friends in attendance. The service with tight security, was closed to the public and the TV cameras.

The burial was held in Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park. An autopsy report remains sealed while the police investigate the role prescription drugs may have played in the pop star’s death.

According to The Sun, 200 mourners, which included celebrities such as Liz Taylor, Diana Ross, Chris Tucker, Macaulay Culkin, and Lisa Marie Presley, Michael's former wife, gathered at the cemetery to bid farewell to their beloved friend. Rev. Al Sharpton spoke and soul legendary singer Gladys Knight sang.

Dr. Conrad Murray, who was with Mr. Jackson when he died June 25, and whose home and offices have been raided in the case, said in a personal video posted on YouTube that he was “afraid to return phone calls” or use e-mail because of the circumstances concerning Mr. Jackson’s death.

I am prayerful and hopeful that the Jackson family will be able to go on with peace and Michael's memory will live on through his family, friends and children. It is time for us as his fans to continue to be supportive to the family and to stop allowing some of the media to make a mockery of the biggest living legend there ever was and will be. Michael Joseph Jackson, not Jacko, will always be remembered in our hearts.
