Ex-Boxer Arturo Gatti Found Dead

Ex-Boxing Champ Arturo Gatti was found dead in his Brazilian hotel room. According to news reports,the Brazil police believe that the wife of Gatti, Amanda, strangled Arturo with her purse strap. The bloody strap was found in the apartment at the Porto de Galinhas resort.

Boxing champ Arturo Gatti’s wife was arrested and taken into custody yesterday by Brazilian cops. Friends close to the slain fighter said they had feared that either “he was going to kill her or she was going to kill him.”

Gatti’s wife, Amanda Carina Barbosa Rodrigues, 23, was being held yesterday because the Brazilian native can’t explain how she didn’t realize for nearly 10 hours that he was dead in a beach-resort apartment where they were staying with their 1-year-old son.

Gatti, 37, reportedly was drunk and arguing with his wife Friday night at a resort bar. Amanda Rodrigues is expected to be charged with his murder. A police spokeswoman told Reuters: “She [Rodrigues] is the only suspect.”

She was taken in to custody because her story was considered “inconsistent and incoherent.”

What the heck is going on in our world today. Does anybody know how to just divorce anymore? And what about the children? Does anybody every think of their kids before they act in a violent way that will change the lives of everyone forever? Guess not.

Michael Jackson Memorial Program

The Michael Jackson Memorial was touching to say the least. I shed tears and felt the heart ache and pain of his family, his children and his long time friends in the entertainment world as I watched Michael's memorial with a heavy heart.

For those of us who have ever lost someone dear to us, we know that feeling of helplessness and the gut wrenching pain and sorrow when the casket rolls in front of you.

It became all too real for me along with millions of people around the world as the world watched the memorial to Michael from our homes, Times Square, restaurants and even on our jobs.

Michael Jackson was the epitome of life. He was the crowning glory and no one can ever deny that they were not touched by his life and then his sudden death.

He will forever be Michael Jackson in our hearts and souls and he will never be forgotten. I read through the program some of the thoughts written by his nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers and I just ache for them.

The world has not seen such a level of compassion of this multitude ever before and it is my deepest prayer that we continue to walk in Michael Jackson's legacy of love and humanity.

Amazing Michael Jackson Tribute Featuring Fred Astair

Since the stirring death of American Pop Icon, Michael Jackson, I have been obsessed with finding memorable photographs, stories, and videos on the internet and I ran across the most amazing video that was created by a young man in Japan.

He meshed a serious of Fred Astair dance clips to Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal". Now I see where one of Michael's influences came from.

I'm just so sad that all of this out pouring of love and tributes came after he died. When are we going to learn to appreciate the living while we are still here on earth and stop hating on each other?

Steve McNair Murder Suicide

Baltimore Raven's former MVP Steve McNair was found shot to death in a Tennessee condo he reportedly rented for his jump off, Sahel Kazemi. News reports say that it was 20 year old Kazemi who killed him, then turned the gun on herself.

Steve McNair apparently met the 20-year-old at Dave & Buster’s restaurant in Nashville where Kazemi worked as a waitress.

McNair and Kazemi were apparently having a long time affair and according to her ex-boyfriend, Keith who she dumped for McNair she fell hard for him and he kept leading her on and giving her false hopes that he was going to leave his wife and marry her.

Days earlier she was arrested for driving under the influence in the black cadillac escalade McNair bought for her.

Witnesses say that Kazemi went to the condo and was heard banging on the door because she wanted to talk.

Hours later McNair was found in a sitting position by a friend who called another one of Steve McNair's friends. McNair's had been shot in the chest twice and in the head twice and was Kazemi was on the floor nearby with the gun underneath her.

Mechelle McNair, wife of the the one-time NFL quarterback, is reported to be distraught according to police spokesman Don Aaron.

I hope that the police don't rush through the investigation on this because I smell a rat! There's a list of suspects brewing. Hmmmm...I think there will be some twists in this case. Watch and see.

Michael Jackson Heart Attack

Michael Jackson, King of Pop, has died from cardiac arrest at the age of 50!

The pop star was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Los Angeles while the paramedics administered CPR.

On Thursday afternoon, paramedics responded to a 911 call at around 12:26 p.m. PDT, the Los Angeles Times reported. He was reportedly not breathing at the time of their arrival.

Multiple reports claimed that Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest and had to receive CPR in the ambulance on the way to a hospital in Los Angeles.

Joe Jackson, his father, told multiple news sources that his son is not doing well.

Jackson was born in Indiana in 1958. Michael was part of the successful pop group The Jackson Five, formed with his brothers in 1967.

Michael Jackson won numerous grammy's and was set to release an album in a few months and I got it on good authority that it was to be his best ever!

Wow... two icons in one day? First Farrah Fawcett, then Michael Jackson.

Say it ain't so. How much more heartbreak can one take? I was a big fan of them both. My prayers go out the the entire Jackson family.

Charlie's Angel Star,Farrah Fawcett Dies at Age 62

Charlie’s Angels star, Farrah Fawcett, died Thursday after battling cancer for three years at the age of 62.

She reportedly had recently returned to St. John's for treatment of complications from anal cancer, first diagnosed three years ago.

Fawcett was well known for her fabulous trend setting big blond hair and as a stunning beauty in 1976 as one-third of the crime-fighting trio in TV's "Charlie's Angels." Her stunning looks and bright smile made her a pop icon of the 1970s.

Days before her death, her longtime love Ryan O’Neal said he hoped she would hang on long enough for them to wed. “I’ve asked her to marry me, again, and she’s agreed,” O’Neal, 68, told Barbara Walters in a “20/20″ interview which will air tonight at 10pm. O'Neal said, “As soon as she can say yes,” he said. “Maybe we can just nod her head.”

Ryan O'Neal was teary eyed as he talked about Farrah and their son Redmond who is incarcerated but was allowed to leave so he could say his final goodbye's to his beloved mom. He stated in the "20/20" interview that Farrah was never told of her son's incarceration.

The world has lost one of it's most beautiful and courageous women. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mr. O'Neil and the family of Farrah Fawcett.

Ms. Fawcett, you will be missed by all of your Charlie's Angel's fans. Rest In Peace, Angel.

Akon's Rapper Dolla Fortells His Own Death In Eerie Freestyle Rap

On Monday May 18th, 2009 at approximately 3:15PM, Hip Hop lost yet another one of its prominent up and coming talents from Atlanta, GA. Dolla, born Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Beverly Center Mall in Los Angeles, California.

At press time someone without the authority to speak on behalf of the family jumped the gun (NPI) and said things that were not correct, so the family issued their 'Official' statement. Read below:

"First and foremost we, the Burton family would like to thank everyone for all their kind thoughts and prayers during these trying times.

Most recently, the Burton family was made aware that there have been numerous false claims of information floating around the net and also reported in reputable media outlets. Part of this was due to someone who was not authorized to speak on the family's behalf and who claimed to be the publicist of record decided to disseminate false information on her own and without the consent of the family to several media outlets.

Due to the circumstances of the situation no other information will be released at this time. We are grateful for your continued support in these trying times. We now ask everyone to allow us to mourn the loss of our beloved Roderick Anthony Burton II.

For the above reasons, we have authorized Mr. Dennis Byron, Dennis Byron Management to speak on behalf of the family while we cope with this unfortunate and painful loss."


Wow...another young soul is lost to some foolishness and another family is left to grieve.

I watched the video footage below and I just feel sad that this is all we are producing out here. Why do these young boys feel it's okay to rap about shooting, gattin' splattin' sprayin' takin' baby makin' on and on and on. I for one am sick of this bullshit. It never ends! It only gets more young people killed when this kind of stuff is glorified.

Am I saying it was his fault, hell no. I believe these rappers want to live, but there's got to be a better way to go about it.

Most of these young artist are some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet but the topics they rap about are not and unfortunately there are some people out there who can't tell the difference.

Freestyle about how much your family means to you and how you want to make a difference in your life when you "get yours" but come on people, wake up before you never will again!

"Kill Bill" Actor David Carradine, Found Dead

Actor David Carradine, best known for his roles in the 1970s TV series 'Kung Fu' and the Kill Bill movies, was found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand.

On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel in central Bangkok, Thailand. The initial police report indicated that Carradine had committed suicide by hanging himself. He was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body.

While the exact details of what happened are still not known, Carradine was in Bangkok to shoot his latest movie, Stretch. Apparently the film crew noticed his absence when they went to dine out and sent someone to see if he wanted to go, when the maid found him.

Carradine was known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s television series Kung Fu; he starred in the 1990s spinoff Kung Fu: The Legend Continues as the grandson of his original character. In movies, he starred as 'Big' Bill Shelly in Martin Scorsese's Boxcar Bertha (1972), and as Bill in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Vols. 1 & 2 (2003, 2004, respectively).

Carradine also appeared in the music video for "Minus You" by the southern California band Chapel of Thieves, which was co-directed by the YouTube personality Boh3m3. He also worked with the Jonas Brothers in their video Burnin' Up, playing a Kung Fu Master, and planned to work with Miley Cyrus. In 2009, he played a 100 year-old Chinese gangster in Crank: High Voltage.

I was a huge fan of Mr. Carradine's work and am so sad to say that he will be sorely missed. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and fans. Say something nice to someone today because you just never know what people are going through.
