Since the death of Michael Jackson, June 25, 2009, the King of Pop was finally laid to rest yesterday, with only a select group of family and friends in attendance. The service with tight security, was closed to the public and the TV cameras.

The burial was held in Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park. An autopsy report remains sealed while the police investigate the role prescription drugs may have played in the pop star’s death.

According to The Sun, 200 mourners, which included celebrities such as Liz Taylor, Diana Ross, Chris Tucker, Macaulay Culkin, and Lisa Marie Presley, Michael's former wife, gathered at the cemetery to bid farewell to their beloved friend. Rev. Al Sharpton spoke and soul legendary singer Gladys Knight sang.

Dr. Conrad Murray, who was with Mr. Jackson when he died June 25, and whose home and offices have been raided in the case, said in a personal video posted on YouTube that he was “afraid to return phone calls” or use e-mail because of the circumstances concerning Mr. Jackson’s death.

I am prayerful and hopeful that the Jackson family will be able to go on with peace and Michael's memory will live on through his family, friends and children. It is time for us as his fans to continue to be supportive to the family and to stop allowing some of the media to make a mockery of the biggest living legend there ever was and will be. Michael Joseph Jackson, not Jacko, will always be remembered in our hearts.
